Neutron STEM Lab does not require user accounts.
Browser storage
Tool state, projects, and preferences may be stored in the browser’s local storage. Users can reset individual tools, export project files, or clear site data through browser settings.
CFD simulations run locally in your browser, using a background worker when supported. Setup inputs may be saved on this device. Computed fields stay in memory and are exported only when you choose a download.
Shared links and exports
A share link places encoded tool or calculator state in the URL only when the user selects that action. Encoding is not encryption: anyone who receives the link can decode its contents, and the URL may be retained in browser history. JSON and project files are downloaded only when the user selects export.
Contact form
When a user submits the Contact Us form, the entered name, email address, and message are sent to Web3Forms so the message can be delivered to the site owner. Do not submit sensitive or confidential information through the contact form.
Sponsorships
Neutron STEM Lab may include direct sponsorships that are manually reviewed by the site owner. Sponsor placements are clearly separated from engineering controls and calculation results. The site does not currently load a third-party programmatic advertising network.
Analytics and performance measurement
Production hosting may use Cloudflare Web Analytics to measure aggregate page usage and real-user performance such as page-load timing and Core Web Vitals.
The application does not send calculator input values or uploaded measurement datasets as custom analytics events. Measurement CSV files, regression settings, uncertainty budgets, and lab progress are processed locally. Data analysis projects may be saved in this browser, and portable copies are created when you choose an export action.
RF lab projects, receiver-stage specifications, and imported Touchstone network samples are also processed and saved locally in your browser. Network data is included in RF project exports so the experiment can be restored on another device.
Local calculations
Engineering calculations run in the browser. Input values are not sent to Neutron STEM Lab unless a user deliberately includes them in a contact message or shares an encoded URL with another party.
